TAMUCT employees have the ability to control how their name is displayed on their TAMUCT account. NOTE: This will NOT change your TAMUCT email address.
Pictured below, the red box is the Display Name and the Yellow box is the TAMUCT email address.

Step 1: Update your information in Workday.
The instructions for how to do this are found here under the 'Faculty/Staff - Workday' section:
Step 2: Update directory information in Gateway.
- Login to the Gateway at gateway.tamu.edu
- Click the button for 'Directory Info' or the link for 'edit my directory information'.
- Click the button for 'Manage Additional Search Terms'.
- Click the button for 'Add Search Term' and add your preferred name as a searchable term.
