Password Reset - Faculty/Staff (Mac OS)

***Important***

  • On university MacBooks and iMacs, do not use the Apple Password Reset prompt if it appears on the login screen
  • The prompt looks like the following:

  • If you remember your password and know your password is not expired, you can follow the "Change your password" instructions below and still use your current password to stop the Apple Password Reset prompt from appearing
  • Otherwise to change your password or if you forgot your password, follow one of the two instructions below

To Change your password:

  • Open a web browser

  • Navigate to gateway.tamu.edu

  • Select Log In 

  • Type in your TAMUCT username and password

  • Click Change Password

  •  Log in again with your TAMUCT username and password

  • Type in your new password twice

  • Click Save

  • Click Log Out at the top right 


Forgot Password:

  • Using a different device: your phone, another computer, tablet, etc.
  • Open a web browser

  • Navigate to gateway.tamu.edu

  • Click Forgot Password

  • Follow the proceeding steps that require your UIN, DUO security check, and temporary access code to reset your password
