Project Management Best Practices

This article includes the best practices the PMO will use to manage projects at all levels of complexity.

The Project Management Office (PMO) will use the TAC 216 Companion Guide as a resource to manage projects.  

Best Practices

• Use the complexity assessment to determine if the information resources effort is a project. If so, classify it as a Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, or a Level 4 project.
• Develop a Project Charter for all project levels
• Develop and maintain a risk register for all project levels (we are using the Companion Guide's template)
• Develop lessons learned for all project levels
