Warrior Hall Classroom Operations

Body

  • Power ON
    • Verify the PC is on by opening the door on the bottom right of the desk and checking that the power button is illuminated.
    • On the control panel (on top of the desk), press the “On” button.
    • This drops the screen down and powers on the projector and ELMO document viewer

               

  • Select Device on Control Panel to Use     Visualizer - Displays ELMO document viewer (right-side of desk).
    •                 Main PC - Displays PC on projector screen
    •                 PC 1 (HDMI – Thin, rectangular connector) - Displays Laptop connected via HDMI cable in cubby.
    •                 PC 2 (VGA – Blue connector) - Displays Laptop connected via HDMI cable in cubby.

 

  •                 Playing DVDs
    •                 Select “PC” on the control panel.
    •                 Insert DVD into PC.
    •                 Select the software to run the DVD on the PC
    •                 VLC media player (recommended) or Windows Media Player
    •                 Audio volume can be controlled on the control panel using the “Volume Up”, “Audio Mute”, or “Volume Down”.
  • Connecting a Laptop (PC or MAC)
    •                 Open the cubby lid by lifting up and sliding down.
    •                 Pick either the VGA (blue) or HDMI (flat rectangular) cable to connect to your laptop.      
    •                 If using VGA, make sure to connect the audio connector to the headphone port on the laptop.
    •                 Connect the blue Ethernet cable for internet/network access.
    •                 Select on the control panel PC1 (HDMI) or PC2 (VGA) to display the laptop on the projector screen.
  • *** Laptops may require audio/video settings configuring to work properly***

 

  •                 Power Off
    •                 Pressing the “Off” button on the control panel powers off the projector/ELMO and raises the projector screen back up.

 

***Please be sure to turn off all equipment except the PC after your class***
